Over the past 30 years, RSVP has been honored with multiple awards and recognized for outstanding achievement by a wide variety of organizations:
- Chamber of Commerce awards for outstanding community agency
- United Way, March of Dimes and Red Cross awards for outstanding community service
- Governor’s Honor Role of Excellence in Volunteerism
- Congressional ‘Recognition of Excellence’ for the Home Companion Program
RSVP Executive Director Janice Ayres has also received numerous awards, recognition and appointments:
- Governor’s appointee to the Nevada Commission for National Service
- Governor’s appointee to the Nevada Commission on Aging
- Voted ‘Outstanding Older Worker’ for the State of Nevada
- Elected President of the National Association of RSVP Directors
- Received ‘Woman of Distinction’ award from Soroptimists International
- Governor’s award as Nevada’s ‘Outstanding Public Citizen
- Recognized as a ‘Senior Star’ by the University of Nevada’s Sanford Center for Aging
