Care Law Program
The RSVP CARE Law Program provides pro bono and low cost legal services for low income and homebound seniors in Nevada age 60 and older. The Program focuses on providing estate planning, nursing home planning, durable powers of attorney, wills, guardianships, help with debt problems and probate issues, plus social security, Medicare and Medicaid appeals and elder abuse issues. This includes the unusual service of house calls to the homebound and to those residing in long term and intermediate care facilities. The CARE Law program utilizes the staff at senior centers across the state to schedule appointments and take messages, and is staffed by attorney Lora Myles and registered paralegal and Notary Public July Wright. Ms. Myles is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is the author of several elder abuse and other senior related pieces of current Nevada State Legislation. She is a recipient of the 'Senior Star' award from the UNR Sanford Center for Aging.
All services, except guardianships, are on a donation basis.
Contact your local senior center, Call Lora or July for more information or to make an appointment: (775) 687-4680, Ext. 9 or email Lora: lora@carelaw.org or July: july@carelaw.org
